Confucius Institutes in New Zealand

The role of the Confucius Institute is to build New Zealanders’ understanding of and familiarity with China, its language, culture and people. The Confucius Institute provides opportunities for New Zealanders to learn Chinese-in schools and in tailored classes. It builds knowledge of China’s long and rich culture by bringing in artists, writers, and performers to give New Zealand audiences an experience of Chinese traditional and contemporary culture, often in collaboration with Kiwi artists and performers.

Korean Education Centre

The Korean Education Centre is a non-profit educational organization representing the Korean Ministry of Education to support Korean citizens residing in New Zealand.

The Korean Education Centre has been promoting Korean learning by supporting the (Saturday) Korean Schools in New Zealand, funding New Zealand schools providing the Korean language classes, and running free Korean Classes at the Korean Education Centre.

Build your skills and strengthen your language teaching practice with one of Tui Tuia's hands-on workshops or programmes.

Tui Tuia offers programmes, workshops, in-person classroom support, online support and resources to help strengthen language learning in New Zealand schools, and many of their services are fully-funded.

They also advocate for language learning and language maintenance in New Zealand schools.
