The NZALT 2021 Conference opened at 19:15 on Saturday 10 July (the first day of school holidays) . It continued with presentations and workshops on Sunday and Monday, with conference dinners on Sunday evening.

The main venue was Wellington Girls' College, in Thorndon. This was also the venue for most of the FLS Centre for Languages Immersion Days on Saturday the 10th.
