The dates for the 2020 NZALT conference have been set. We will open the conference on Friday 3 July, 2020 at 18:00 in Te Marae, Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa. It will continue at Queen Margaret College, Thorndon, on Saturday and Sunday. The conference will be followed by language-specific sessions on Monday 6 July, under the auspices of Future Learning Solutions.
We have made a change to the dates based on your feedback from previous conferences. We hope that by opening on Friday evening and then having two full days over the weekend, this will allow you to profit fully from your two-week holiday. We kept this in mind particularly for family activities; for example, the Matariki celebrations will be taking place at this time. This also follows the model used by some other subject-specific conferences.
There will be Early Bird Registration of $400 for NZALT members.
We are finalising accommodation offers at present, but there will be a variety of options available ranging from budget to deluxe, all within a 15-minute walk or 5-minute scoot of Queen Margaret College.
We can confirm that our keynote speakers are Dr Gianfranco Conti and Dr Corinne Seals.
There will be further information re registration and accommodation in mid-December.
Information regarding the submission of presentations is now available HERE.
We look forward to welcoming you on the evening of Friday 3 July 2020 at Te Papa.
