Our conference is on hold; we are looking at 9-11 July 2021, still in Wellington. More details to come in due course.
The NZALT 2020 Conference will open on Friday 3 July at 6:30pm in Te Marae, Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa. It will continue at Queen Margaret College, Thorndon, on Saturday and Sunday, with a conference dinner on Saturday evening. The conference will be followed by language-specific sessions on Monday 6 July, under the auspices of Future Learning Solutions.
We have made a change to the dates based on your feedback from previous conferences. We hope that by opening on Friday evening and then having two full days over the weekend, this will allow you to profit fully from your two-week holiday. We kept this in mind particularly for family activities; for example, the Matariki celebrations will be taking place at this time. This also follows the model used by some other subject-specific conferences.
Early Bird Registration is now open: $400 for NZALT members, $500 for non-members, and $250 for teachers not in full-time employment and students. Financial assistance is also available.
There are a variety of accommodation options available ranging from budget to deluxe, all within a 15-minute walk or 5-minute scoot of Queen Margaret College.
Our keynote speakers are Dr Gianfranco Conti and Dr Corinne Seals.
