NZALT Membership Information


  1.  Subscriptions are due 31 March each year.

  2.  NZALT is organised into six regional groups
-  Auckland
-  Waikato
-  Massey
-  Victoria
-  Canterbury / Nelson
-  Otago / Southland
 

  3.  Membership subscriptions are set at 0.2% of Step 4 of the Secondary salary scale (plus GST).
-  Ordinary (fulltime)$80

-  Retired/non-waged$55
-  Tertiary student / First-year teacherFree membership
-  NZ Language Teacher (institutions only)$40

How to pay your subscription online or edit your membership details


All subscriptions are now paid online, using VISA or MasterCard. Before making your payment, we ask that you check, and if necessary amend, your membership details - an accurate email address is particularly important.

INSTRUCTIONS     Please read these before clicking on the link to the database. If you have problems following any of these instructions, please contact the webmaster


  1. Click to see full size imageClicking on the link at the bottom of this page will take you directly to a login page for the database. It looks like the image to the right.

    Earlier in the year you would have received an email with your membership number and password in it. If you haven't received the email, it is likely that your email address we have on record is no longer valid. In this case, please contact the webmaster.

    Your username is your membership number. Your password is your first name (case-sensitive).

  2. Click to see full size imageOnce you have logged in, click on 'Edit membership details'. Check and amend if necessary your personal information, by clicking on the 'Private' and 'Institution' tabs.

    When making changes, remember to click on the 'Save' button. If you get a page of strange characters, don't panic - it is completely normal. Simply click on the 'Return to member' button at the bottom of the page.
     
  3. To begin the payment process click on the 'Subs' tab. Then click on the blue invoice number. This will take you to the payment page. You will need a credit card number and expiry date details. Follow the instructions there.
     
  4. If you want to check that your payment has been recorded, click on the 'Subs' tab. Look under the 'Paid' column, where you will see either yes or no
     
  5. To make payment for a school subscription (i.e. where there are more than four language teachers), please make payment on the HOD Languages (or equivalent) membership number. Follow the instructions 1-3 above, but simply change the amount being paid accordingly. You will be issued with a receipt for the full amount. Then we will contact you to get details of all teachers who will be covered by that membership.
